Environment refers to the natural surroundings and conditions in which we live. Unfortunately environment has come under serious threat due to human activities. These human activities have caused serious damage to the environment. Most importantly, this damage risks the survival of living things on earth. There are several ways to mitigate the harmful effects of depleting environment. Planting trees should be given massive attention. Unfortunately, due to construction, many trees have been cut down. People must give attention to forest conservation. Forests are vital for the Environment. We must conserve our forests. Soil conservation is yet another important way to save the Environment. For this, there must be control of landslides, floods, and soil erosion. Furthermore, there should also be afforestation and tree plantation to conserve the soil. Waste management is a powerful way of protecting the environment. There must be proper disposal of wastes. Pollution is probably the biggest danger to the Environment. Smoke, dust, and harmful gases cause air pollution. These causes of air pollution come from industries and vehicles mostly. Furthermore, Chemicals and pesticides cause land and water pollution. Saving the environment is also on the top of our objectives and we have taken some initiatives in this direction. ‘We will be very happy to collaborate with people for this noble cause.

Environment protection

Environment protection is one of the main objectives of our trust. Mass movement aimed at cleaning of the highly polluted and dead "Suswa" river of Dehradun was initiated by the trust and "Suswa Revival Struggle Committee" was formed for it. Villagers fromadjoining areas, mostly from five villages were involved in the said program. The role of the trustis to guide the team for pragmatic actions and to provide technical assistance.

On the occasion of 75th Independence Day (15th August 2021), Uttarakhand Satrudra Trust planted saplings at B.S. Negi Government Inter College Gujra Dehradun.
